Forgiveness is not for the other person: it is for you. Forgiveness allows your spirit to not be kept in bondage by someone or something. You have the power to forgive and free yourself. Unforgiveness keeps us captive. Unforgiveness becomes a part of grief; it’s a type of mourning that keeps us holding on to something we feel has wronged us. Grab hold of forgiveness and set yourself free; don’t wait for anyone to free you. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed. In order for forgiveness to take place something has to die. Often, we have to let die those things we find hardest to let go of. We have to die to a bad relationship, we have to die to a divorce. Let forgiveness come in and heal you like a soothing balm to mend and repair the broken heart. The Spirit of God came to set the captives free and to heal the broken hearted. Funeralize your negative thoughts and emotions and bury them once and for all. You were created to live life abundantly ... mind, body and spirit. #forgiveness
Have you ever listened to the night? You might ask, how can I listen to the night? One day surround yourself with the cool of a summer night. Just listen. It’s amazing what you will hear. Listen to the gentle way the wind passes by … as it passes by, smell the fragrance it carries of a rose bush or the hot coals of charcoal from a neighbors grill. Listen for the crickets or drips from a birdbath, outdoor waterfall or pond. Close your eyes and take deep breaths and embrace what your spirit hears.
Have you ever walked through a field of lilies or stood at the tip of a snow covered mountain top and just gulped a cup of cool air - how invigorating and exhilarating. Meet God in your quiet place. In your quiet place there is joy, guidance, smiles, even warm loving hugs from the Almighty. Walk through a creek with your shoes off, skip a rock across a lake, watch the ripples of water billow out. Enjoy Nature! Nurture the Nurturer
