For those of us that celebrate Easter in the traditional spiritual sense in the resurrection of Christ, this is a very powerful and moving time of year. As I reflect on new beginnings and new life I am in awe of the story of Christ’s resurrection to give us a “do over” for redemption. The symbolism of freeing us to live and not experience captivity to our fleshly desires. We can overcome death, sickness, disease, anxiety and a host of things that hold us back from living our life in the purpose for which we were created. Do you know that God’s spirit knew you before you were in your mother’s womb? How profound, and that the Spirit had a plan for our lives, one of good and not of evil. A plan to prosper and with good intentions. Life is to be celebrated. You’ve heard the cliche when life gives you lemons make lemonade. This is how God expected life to be for us.
When tragedies or disappointments come our way we must know that we have the power to overcome and come out victorious. Don’t hold on and nurse your shortcomings or areas in your life that are still in progress. Don’t curse the situation, ask your spirit why this has arrived at your doorstep and what should you learn from this. God tells us that all things work for our good. Don’t rehearse it and continue to speak on it, giving it control over your life, you are what you meditate and speak. The power of words is real. The very creation in all of its splendor and beauty was spoken into existence. Embrace your power don’t take it for granted. No matter how messy life gets you have the ability to clean it up, let life get a little out of control but laugh about it, live about it and love about it. We were intended to impact the world in a mighty way. You are a masterpiece created fearfully and wonderfully. Don’t get stuck in life being a human “doing” … we are human beings, so BE in YOU. You are a miracle in motion similar to the butterfly. God created you to be a vessel, no matter what your past mistakes they are all part of his plan for your life. Don’t waste your failures call them “life lessons” ; plan to fail forward and upward that way you will never fail. Always be in recovery and discovery of yourself. You are a celebrity in every true meaning of the word, celebrate yourself. Go where you are celebrated not where you are tolerated. God’s opinion of you makes other people’s opinion of you irrelevant. Gain wisdom as you move along your life journey. Wisdom is Godly supernatural intellect; it is something you cannot buy, there is not a college on earth where you can major in Wisdom. We are told in all of our getting to get Wisdom and understanding. Wisdom is so critical to our life that it stands in the middle of the street screaming at us as we walk by. It is loud proclaiming “hey, its me Wisdom ... get me I am here to help you on this journey.” By obtaining wisdom we gain power. Power is when you bring your spiritual energy to serve your personality - the combination of the two is unstoppable. For those of us experiencing pain in areas of our lives, we have the power to overcome spiritual pain. Pain is just pain, however long-suffering, is for a worthy cause (as an example childbirth.) Do not measure yourself on what you think your life should look like. What is success, what is failure. Both are spaces we would never experience or know if we didn’t judge or compare what we thought our lives should mirror. Embrace your current space and if we are always doing our best then we are in the right space.
